John Stigerwalt has dedicated the last decade to advancing the field of cybersecurity, working in a variety of roles including Blue Team Lead, Developer, Senior Penetration Tester, and Red Team Lead. His primary focus has been on exploit development and offensive cyber operations, where he has made significant contributions. John’s expertise in leading red team engagements for highly complex Fortune 500 companies has been a cornerstone of his career. Additionally, he has collaborated directly with Microsoft to enhance kernel security for the Windows 10 operating system.
John’s passion for cybersecurity education is evident in his extensive teaching experience. He has conducted training sessions at renowned conferences such as BlackHat, DerbyCon, WildWest Hacking Fest, Antisyphon, HackSpaceCon, and many others worldwide. His journey began as an IT Help Desk professional, followed by a role as a Systems Administrator, before transitioning into security. It was in penetration testing where John truly found his calling, leading numerous engagements and subsequently moving into red teaming, where he excelled in managing global testing initiatives for Fortune 500 companies.
John is also a prolific course creator, especially in the areas of red teaming and malware development. His training programs are known for their hands-on, real-world approach, helping to shape the next generation of cybersecurity professionals. His dedication to improving the field through both practice and teaching has made him a respected figure in the cybersecurity community.
Greg Hatcher brings a unique and diverse background to cybersecurity training, combining his years in Army Special Operations with his experience teaching at the NSA. This blend of military and government experience has given him a strong foundation for conducting full-scope offensive cyber operations. Over his career, Greg has led over 200 penetration tests across various technologies, including network, cloud, mobile, web applications, and APIs. He has authored and taught courses at notable events like DerbyCon, Calvin University, and NorthSec in Montreal, Canada, showcasing his expertise on an international stage.
Greg is a dedicated educator who has taught for the NSA, WildWest Hacking Fest, Antisyphon, HackSpaceCon, and many other conferences worldwide. His commitment to mentorship is evident in his efforts to guide veterans into high-level cybersecurity positions across the United States.
